Mine Quest
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
This is a remake/clone of the 2014 game "Mine Quest" originally released by Tapps Tecnologia da Informacao Ltda.
They own all the textures, sounds, mechanics, story, etc. I am the one who wrote the code. Give them your money or something, maybe this will make them make more good games instead of slop.
Mine Quest is a Dwarven adventure RPG game about Orli the Dwarf and Lumi the Fairy accidentally brought into the far future, who then have to return to the past, and to do that they have to get to the mystical continent of Aesis.
Explore mines, craft new pickaxes and weapons, build balloons to reach the furthest edges of the world.
This remake is not yet finished. Some things are missing, but most things have already been implemented.
I started working on this in late November of 2025.
The hardware requirements are 256 megabytes of RAM (the game uses ~100MB), a graphics card that is at least fifteen years old, and a Pentium 4 or newer. It may work on a Pentium 3 but I don't have the hardware to test it.
Windows XP or newer systemwise. Linux kernel 2.6 or newer. Mac OS X Snow Leopard or newer.
Java 7 or newer is required. For Snow Leopard, get it at https://github.com/alexkasko/openjdk-unofficial-builds
Also, the game most likely won't run on future Mac OS releases that don't have Rosetta 2. I will not do anything about it, and if you have a Mac in about five years, well, sucks to be you.
