Release 1.0
DeamDung » Devlog
The final release yay! (of course there will be updates after that in case you are worried)
Additions:
- the held item now shows in the player's hand
- the skin can now be changed using an ingame UI
- added a block breaking animation to the player's hand
- added a sleeping animation
- added stone brick slabs
- right-clicking certain blocks with axes makes them turn into different blocks
- tools have now limited durability (that is, 16 for stone tools and 32 for copper tools as of right now)
- added crouching (or sneaking). It blocks autojump and picking up items at the cost of slowing down the player's movement and block breaking speed
- added the flipstack item operation (when you click with one item on a different item, they get swapped)
- added tool heads
Changes:
- the player's direction now depends on the mouse position, rather than on the previous movement
- removed beta-related splashes
- the current hotbar position now gets saved along with the level
- fixed the player being spawned with only half a heart
- reworked the skin renderer to support both legacy as well as modern Minecraft skins
- limited the player's reach to five blocks
- pressing the escape key in the main menu quits the game
- renamed the message sender from "nobody" to "Farlander" (which is the default skin's name)
- data bulks are removed for broken tools in order to save your disk space :)
- using the wrong tool no longer accelerates the breaking speed for the block
- crafting tools now requires their respective heads instead of raw materials
